Narrative
Armand, a 6-year-old boy, is accused of crossing the line against his best friend in elementary school. Norway’s official submission for the “Best International Feature Film” category at the 97th Academy Awards in 2025. This film has some of the best acting I’ve seen in a Norwegian film. If you want a film that’s unpredictable, watch this. If you want to see some extremely good acting, watch this. The story is truly compelling, and the use of a trivial setting like a school parent-teacher conference creates a fantastic stage for the viewer to observe and immerse themselves in this class act. Renate Reinsve shows a level of acting that I don’t want to compare to anyone else at the moment. I’m following her career with interest. I have to admit, the "worst man in the world" I had some other thoughts, but I think for me this movie didn’t hit the mark, I just didn’t like it. But now I’ve seen him in a movie that I love, and I can see what he’s capable of. Wow!
