Once again, Sonic, Knuckles and Tails face a powerful new enemy: Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers they have never experienced before. Team Sonic must find an unlikely alliance with his abilities. Both Sonic 2 (2001) and Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) were cited by the filmmakers of the previous films as inspiration for playing the solo game. The film is also inspired by the narrative elements of the Saturday morning animated series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993). Commander Walters: [Shadow] Project Shadow is much more than what we have encountered so far. Shadow’s story began much like yours, Sonic.
